The Andres Gutierrez Show comes to San Antonio
San Antonio’s own Andres Gutierrez returns to the Alamo City. The Andres Gutierrez Show begins national syndication on Monday, Oct. 24, and it will be carried live in San Antonio on La Ley 95.7 (KLEY-FM) on weekdays from 10 to 11 a.m.
Andres, a former advisor with the PAX Financial Group, left San Antonio two years ago with the dream of bringing Dave Ramsey’s message of Financial Peace to the Spanish speaking community. He launched a six-lesson class called Paz Financiera, began speaking to audiences worldwide, and introduced The Andres Gutierrez Show, an hour-long radio program that broadcasts from Nashville.
The show incorporates a format just like the Dave Ramsey Show, in which Andres takes and answers questions live on the air. Listeners may call the show toll free at 1-855-YANOMAS (926-6627), send email to andresalaire@andresgutierrez.com, or submit questions on Twitter @elshowdeandres.
For those outside of the San Antonio broadcast area, the Andres Gutierrez Show is also available online at www.andresgutierrez.com.
Hispanic Growth is Changing the Focus of Retail
Hispanics have accounted for more than half the gain in U.S. population in the past decade, and that’s why Procter & Gamble has begun accelerating its effort to lure more Hispanic shoppers to its fabled household brands. Most of P&G’s sales growth in recent years has come from emerging markets, where the company continues expanding rapidly. But now, it will turn more attention to boosting its U.S. sales results by targeting the country’s fastest-growing population segment. Hispanics spent $1 trillion in the U.S. last year, a figure expected to increase by 50 percent by 2015. (Source: The Wall Street Journal)
Get to Know the Word “AUSTERITY”
Get to know the word “AUSTERITY” Take a moment and Google the word for
future reference. This is the most important word you can become accustomed
to over the next few years and maybe beyond. The idea of debt ceilings and
budgets is turning beyond political but we’ll work through this season of
posturing. The real issue is our future. Our future is one of harder work
than yesterday. Harder work to buy the same amount of groceries, keep your
cable, and put gas in your car. Work harder, smarter or both because
tomorrow demands it.
There is a real glitch in the new health care law that needs to be addressed. We are seeing many of our clients have to make tough decisions today regarding when to take Social Security (62, 65, 70?) and this issue adds to the complexity. This “glitch” will need to be resolved or we will create a disincentive to work at age 62. Any disincentive to work is counter intuitive. I expect us to see many issues coming around regarding the new health care law in the next few years that need to be resolved. This is one of them.Glitch in the New Health Care Law
