Douglas J. Richardson comes to PAX Financial Group with more than 20 years experience in the investment business. As the son of an Air Force Colonel, he has had the opportunity to travel and be exposed to different places and cultures, from Japan to the mid-western states to finally settling in San Antonio in the early 1980’s. As a “military brat” he learned to adapt to change and be flexible. After graduating in 1986 with a Bachelors of Science degree from UTSA he moved to Costa Rica to work for an international investment company. The company focused primarily on economic data analysis ofU.S.andInternational markets and investment opportunities globally. Learning Spanish was a bonus of living in a foreign country as well as traveling to most of Central America in the process. Returning to the hill country in the early 1990’s he pursued a real estate career with Bradfield Properties Realtors in San Antonio. In 1995 he rejoined the investment business and continued the study of the markets with a focus on technical analysis, alternative investments, and capital preservation in the management of a private hedge fund. Joining the PAX team has been a smooth transition and a perfect fit for his unique market experience, views, and insights.He has been married for over 26 years to Susanne and has 7 children ranging in ages from 11 to 25. He has a son attending Texas A&M, a daughter at UTSA, and they home school their other 4 children. Their oldest daughter is married to a San Antonio Police officer and they have two sons.
